On entering the Kingsleigh Inn, your first introduction to the Inn will be its open kitchen decorated with art, glass, fruit bowls and whimsical chef's wares. Relax in our formal living room by the warm crackling fireplace, furnished with an eclectic mix of contemporary and traditional furniture, stained glass and fine art, much of which comes from the innkeepers' travels. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxed, yet elegant, and lends itself to a comfortable feeling that is a welcome setting for quiet reading or stimulating conversation. Gather with other guests in our Sitting Room by the porch with a cup of hot espresso from our Beverage Bar while enjoying the comfort of the fresh ocean breeze. Delightful Guestrooms: The Inn has 8 tastefully decorated guestrooms each with its own distinct personality; many with harbor views, two with private decks overlooking the harbor, all with private baths, plush towels and linens, ceiling fans, and fresh flowers; some with AC and many other thoughtful touches to help you relax. For that special occasion, we offer our spacious and secluded 3-room turret suite with working fireplace, panoramic harbor views, telescope, king size four-poster bed, large bath with tub/shower, TV/vcr/ac. Candlelit Gourmet Breakfast:We consider breakfast a special occasion at our Inn. Join other guests at candlelit tables accented with fresh flowers or, on pleasant mornings, enjoy breakfast on our wicker/flower-filled, wrap-around veranda overlooking the harbor. Each morning we offer homemade granola, yogurt, muffins or scones and freshly brewed coffee, espresso, teas, and juices. You will then be served a fruit dish followed by a daily specialty such as Lemon Blueberry Stuffed French Toast with warm, Wild Maine Blueberry Sauce, Zucchini-Parmesan Frittata, or our sinful Bananas Foster Stuffed French Toast with Brown Sugar-Rum Banana Glaze. After a full day of enjoying the Island, return to the Inn to indulge in freshly baked 'Goodies' with a cup of hot tea or brewed to order espresso. Surrounded by Acadia National Park: Whether your interests lie in the quiet of a mountain hike, the thrill of sounding whales, ocean breezes spilling over the top sails of the island's schooner fleet or just relaxing on the rock bound coast while absorbing the sights, sounds, and smells of the ocean's edge, we are delighted to share our favorite hiking trails, bike routes, nature kayaking, best local restaurants, and other activities to make your stay a memorable one.
