Introduction
Harbor View House of 1807 is just what its name states - a beautiful old Federal style Colonial home located atop Primrose Hill in the. . .
Belfast Historic District, with sweeping views of Belfast Harbor and Penobscot Bay, both from its guest rooms and from our lovely rear deck.
In warm weather, relax on comfortable Adirondack chairs and watch the Belfast Harbor activity (you'll love our beautiful red tug boats), wander through the inn's wooded grounds, or take an easy walk to Belfast's shops and galleries.
When the weather turns cool, curl up in front of your bedroom fireplace, sipping hot chocolate and watching a classic movie from our extensive VCR collection, or join other guests by the roaring fire in the inn parlor.
All six of our spacious guest rooms are carefully furnished to provide comfort for our guests while honoring the Federal style of the house. Every room has a private bath with tub-shower (many have deep, claw-footed baths in which you can relax), a working fireplace to warm your body and spirit, a small TV/VCR, and beautiful views of Belfast, the harbor or Penobscot Bay and beyond. Rates vary from $105 to $170, double occupancy; $15 for an extra person in the room; $10 less for singles. Rates include a full breakfast and afternoon/evening treats (varying with the whim of the cook).
Each morning you will be treated to a hearty, full breakfast (served al fresco on our harbor-view deck weather permitting) before you head out to explore lovely mid-coast Maine. In the afternoons, come back and enjoy afternoon treats and tea.
Belfast
Belfast is an authentic Maine coast town, rebuilt after fire in the mid-1800's in beautiful brick Gothic style. After the hustle and bustle of Camden and Bar Harbor (within easy access of Belfast), relax and take a stroll through the neighborhoods of Belfast. Enjoy the simple charm of this quiet town, first incorporated in 1773. Beautiful homes and churches built from the 1790's through the Victorian period grace the streets and provide a "Norman Rockwell" backdrop for your walk.
