The ideal location of the Harbor View Inn affords easy day trips encompassing countless points of interest and activities. The magnificent harbor at Boothbay with whale-watching, island clambakes and fishing excursions lies less than 20 miles away down the River Road. A short drive down the other side of the river takes you to Pemaquid with its beach, fort and lighthouse, and to the quaint village of New Harbor for lobsters or cruises to Monhegan Island and Puffin Watches.
The Harbor View Inn is a restored New England Cape sitting on a knoll above Main Street in Newcastle. Original art and antique furnishings create an atmosphere of casual elegance in a relaxed and gracious living space.
The Guest Rooms
All are large and airy with private tiled baths, sitting areas, Satellite TV and WIFI. The two upstairs rooms also have fireplaces, river views, and private decks.
The Damariscotta River Suite has a king bed and the Newcastle Square Room a Queen. The first floor Garden Room has a King-sized bed which can be made into twins.

Guest rates range from $115 to $220 not including Maine Sales Tax.
