The Green Heron Inn is located on Ocean Avenue in one of Kennebunkport's most charming neighborhoods, adjacent to an estuarine cove, near the mouth of the Kennebunk River and just around the bend from President George Bush's vacation home on Walkers Point. |

Ocean avenue follows a scenic stretch of rockbound coast with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the arch of Maine's southern coastline. The Oceanside walkway along Ocean Avenue is a mecca for walkers, joggers and naturalists year-round. The Green Heron Inn is also just a short walk from a sandy beach and several fine restaurants, and less than a mile from Kennebunkport's picturesque Dock Square.

Informal gatherings in the parlor for a game of cards, a movie, or to work on the jigsaw puzzle always in progress on the big oak table. Quiet conversation in the fireplace room, where a fire crackles on cool evenings. Relaxing in a rocking chair on the front porch, reading the morning newspaper and enjoying the cool ocean breeze. But our guests are our most important tradition. |
