Situated on fifty tranquil acres with forests, fields and streams, the Foothills Farm is the perfect place to enjoy nature and a wide variety of outdoor activities. Guests enjoy hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, skiing, snow shoeing, picnicking and star gazing. Our peaceful haven sits on the Maine and New Hampshire border close to many attractions in both states. There are endless ways to explore and enjoy this pastoral New England region. The Foothills Farm is located in Brownfield, Maine, 7 miles from Fryeburg, 50 miles from Portland, 10 miles from Conway, NH and a 2.5 hour drive from Boston.

Choose from our restored farmhouse with three B&B guest rooms or one of our two housekeeping cottages: the "Tompeca" two bedroom cottage or the "Brookside" three bedroom log cabin. We are pet friendly and offer safe, spacious lodging for horses in our new three stall barn with run out.
North Conway, NH offers numerous restaurants, shops, tax free outlets and many other Mount Washington Valley attractions including the highest peak in the Northeast, Mt. Washington. The Maine coast and Portland are only an hour's drive away. Local gems like the Fryeburg Fair, the Brownfield Bog Wildlife Preserve and Stone Mountain Arts Center are just minutes away.
Your hosts Kevin and Theresa Early have owned and operated the Foothills Farm for over 20 years. They enjoy sharing their "little slice of heaven" and offer warm, gracious hospitality to make guests feel at home. To add to the enjoyment of your visit, Theresa, a licensed massage therapist, offers therapeutic and hot stone massage by appointment.

Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast
Bed and breakfast accommodations are available in our (circa) 1820 farmhouse with three comfortable guest rooms. They are decorated in period pieces and are quiet, clean and comfortable with firm beds. We offer the option of shared or private bath. Guests enjoy relaxing in our fireplaced den filled with books, old magazines and games. Breakfast, featuring favorites such as Eggs Benedict and blueberry pancakes, is served in our spacious sunny kitchen warmed by a large antique woodstove.

Tompeca Cottage
Originally an out building to the main house, Tompeca Cottage is a perfect lodging choice for small families or couples. The Tompeca Cottage has a long history. In the 1920s it was a dance hall and speakeasy, and later a barrel making shop in the 1940s. This rustic post and beam building now houses two upstairs bedrooms; downstairs there is a full bath, kitchenette, large sitting area with a fireplace and a bar. This cottage is quaint and cozy. Memorabilia accent the barn board walls and collectible objects step you back in time

Brookside Cabin
Snuggled in the woods near a brook, this newly built three-bedroom log cabin can comfortably accommodate 6 to 8 people. Reserve the cabin nightly or contact us for extended vacation rental rates. The main level of the cabin has a spacious living room with a gas fired woodstove, bedroom with queen bed and full bath, kitchen and dining area with door to the back deck which overlooks pristine nature trails. Two additional bedrooms, each with two twin beds, are located on the lower level. The high cathedral ceiling of this cabin sports logs cut from our land for structural support and rustic decor. Antiques and collectibles decorate the cabin to provide a unique atmosphere. This is a pet-friendly accommodation.

Reservations
Once your request is confirmed, a deposit of one night's lodging will be requested to confirm the reservation.
Deposits are fully refundable for cancellations received up to 48 hours prior to arrival date except during high seasons.
For arrivals between September 15th and October 15th and between December 24th and January 3rd, deposits will only be refunded for cancellations received two weeks in advance.
