Welcome to the Chickadee Bed and Breakfast located in Kittery, Maine. Kittery is commonly called the "Gateway to Maine," famous for its outlet malls, excellent seafood, and picturesque beaches, a wonderful vacation destination for all ages.

The Chickadee B & B is a beautiful colonial home built in the late 1800s that features four nicely appointed guestrooms all with private baths, well-kept grounds, perennial gardens, seasonal swimming pool, and a gracious front porch for rocking or enjoying a good book. The parlor is for television, books, games, and puzzles. At the Chickadee, you can relax or stay as busy as you like. Come join us in any season and experience the tranquility and beauty of "the way life should be."

The Chickadee is within walking distance to the famous Kittery Outlet Malls, and within minutes to some of Southern Maine's picturesque beaches and tourist attractions. In Portsmouth, New Hampshire, just across the river, you can enjoy antique shops, galleries, museums, restaurants and more. Big city life is only forty-five minutes away in Boston, Massachusetts or Portland, Maine.

Breakfast

Each morning, 8:30 to 9:30 a full country breakfast is served. Feel free to eat on the porch or by the pool. In the afternoon, a snack is always available including cookies, ice tea, lemonade, or crackers and cheese with a glass of wine. We hope you'll come stay with us.

Rate schedule
  • Open year round.
  • Room rates: (Off Season) 11-1-07 to 05-14-08 is $105 per night.
    (In Season) 05-15-08 to 11-1-08 is $135 per night.
    (two-night minimum required only on select weekends.)
  • Rate subject to 7% sales tax.
  • Cash, personal or traveler's checks, Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
Policies
  • No smoking allowed.
  • No guest pets. (We have 4 little dogs in residence).
  • Children are welcome (14 and older).
  • No childcare provided.
  • Consumption of alcohol permitted (within reason).
  • A $50 deposit confirms your reservation, balance due at check-in.
  • Deposit refundable up to 48 hours before arrival date
  • Check-in: 3 - 6 pm. Late arrival must be arranged.
  • Check-out: 11 am.
  • Cash, personal or travelers’ checks, Visa/Master Card are accepted.
