The Carriage House Inn is considered one of Maine's most photographed homes and is a genuine historic landmark. The Inn is surrounded by 2 acres of gracious, park-like grounds with ocean views. The Inn has stalwartly stood by the Bay since 1874, and has been home to a wealthy sea captain and his ancestors; a legendary Impressionist painter named Waldo Peirce; and served as a garrison for army officers during WWII. |
| Located in the quaint town of Searsport known for it's wealth of antique shops, a gorgeous State Park, and the awesome Penobscot Marine Museum, it is the ideal Mid-Coast location from which to take easy day trips along Route 1 to Camden or Bar Harbor. We also offer our guests exclusive Packages with Old Quarry Ocean Adventures, one of the best ocean recreation facilities in Downeast Maine. Come escape and rejuvinate in a truly stunning setting. |

To create a very personal and rivate experience for our guests, we have
chosen to limit the rooms we rent to three. Each of these guest rooms is
tastefully decorated with antiques and artifacts of the 19th century.
Each offers a very different feel, but all offer comfort, intimacy and a
sense that you have stepped back in time. The rooms have 12 foot ceilings
and spacious private bathrooms. We have also created a spectacular Loft
in the former artists studio in the carriage house barn. This
housekeeping Loft is an open 1,000 sq. ft. space with a full kitchen,
large bathroom and living room, and excellent for families. The Captain's Quarter's - $125 per night Waldo Peirce Room - $115 per night Rose Room - $95 per night

- All accommodations include a full breakfast.
- All rates are based on double occupancy.
- Rates are subject to 7% Maine Lodging Tax.
- An additional charge of $20.00 will be added for an extra person.
- Seasonal rates available October 15th through May 15th.
- Check In: Between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.
- Check out time is 11:00 a.m.
- We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, personal checks.
- Sorry we cannot accommodate pets - dog in residence.
- Deposits and Cancellations: Reservations require a 50% deposit. Balance due upon arrival. In the event you need to cancel, a 7 day notice is required for a refund of your deposit less a $25 processing fee. Deposits on reservations cancelled within 7 days of arrival will be refunded only if rooms are re-rented.
- The Inn is available for weddings, family reunions, corporate retreats, and organizational meetings. Please inquire for more information.
