| Introduction |
| The Captain Lord Mansion is a romantic and stylish bed and breakfast inn situated at the head of a sweeping village green overlooking the Kennebunk River. Built during the War of 1812 as the most elegant and also the largest private residence in the Port, it is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It has been operated as a B&B by Bev and Rick for 24 years. |

The exceptionally large, luxurious guest rooms are furnished with
rich fabrics, fine linens, custom window treatments, European oil
paintings, and period antique furnishings, including incredible four
poster beds. 13 rooms feature kingsize beds, 7 have queensize beds. All
20 rooms have private baths. 7 rooms have double jacuzzis, 4 have
hydro-massage body jets and 1 room has a steam shower. 14 guestrooms have
heated marble or tile floors. We are proud to have our sincere attention to hospitality and superb accommodations be recognized by three of the most demanding rating associations in our industry. We have earned the coveted 4 Diamond Award from AAA for over 22 years. Mobil recognized our continued striving for excellence with the 4 Star Award in 1996 and we have been honored with that award every year since. We have also passed the rigorous inspection that allows us to be a proud member of "The Select Registry". In response to overwhelming demand from our guests, we are a smoke-free inn. Also, the inn is not suitable for children. |
