Introduction

The Inns at Blackberry Common - Camden, Maine Welcome to Camden Maine…our picture book village on the coast of Maine and welcome to the Inns at Blackberry Common offering you Camden Maine's finest lodging and dining accommodations.

Our Camden Inns are an oasis, set side by side amid splendid perennial gardens. Blackberry Inn is a gracious 1849 "painted lady" Victorian Inn. The Elms Bed and Breakfast, celebrating 200 years, is a stately 1806 Federal Colonial. Both welcome you with classic New England hospitality!

The Elms is a restored Circa 1806 Colonial which recaptures the rich heritage of Early America. Built in the seafaring town of Camden nearly 200 years ago, The Elms is a stately and elegant home with original wide pine floors and period furnishings. Once the home of Captain Calvin Curtis and his family, it is now the home of your hosts Jim & Cyndi Ostrowski. While your surroundings may be stately and elegant, you soon sense a casual warmth reflected by your hosts. The Blackberry Inn, our gracious Victorian style bed and breakfast inn, offers our guests some of the finest lodging accommodations in Camden, Maine. Just 3 blocks to the picturesque harbor, filled with Maine windjammers and historic schooners, Blackberry Inn invites you to stay and savor all that midcoast Maine has to offer. Whether you come for a romantic getaway, family event or Maine vacation, our warm New England hospitality will make your trip memorable!

Gourmet Breakfast ...
Each morning our guests awaken to the aroma of our own Blackberry Inn blend of fresh, locally roasted, coffee brewing. On a summer's day, early risers savor a first cup wandering through the garden, chatting with Jim and other guests as herbs and blackberries are harvested for the morning's entrée.

Breakfast is a special time for guests at the Inns. It's a relaxed time to plan your day's adventure and to enjoy the specialty of the day. Fresh juice, followed by our “wake up” starter course like organic yogurt sweetened with a local honey and topped with Jim's own granola or perhaps spiced baked pears with crème fresche is a healthy start! Breakfast entrées change daily from a sweet to a savory with our specialties of Blackberry Inn French Toast with a fresh blackberry sage sauce, organic farm fresh omelets with our own garden herbs and a local goat cheese or Maine apple pear pancakes with brandied citrus sauce or an egg frittata with garden vegetable medley. Special diets can be accommodated…just ask us!

For those days when you are in a hurry, we are happy to package warm fresh muffins and a “to go” mug of fresh coffee to send you on your way!

Guestrooms invite you to unwind and pamper you with thoughtful amenities. King or queen size beds are wrapped in luxury linens. Private baths, many with whirlpools, cater to sooth your senses. Airy Garden suites offer sitting areas and private entrances amid hidden garden walkways.
Relax and enjoy the parlors and common rooms with their original wide board floors, fancy plaster moldings and tin ceilings. Enjoy a game of scrabble or a great book in front of the fire. Or, in the warm summer and fall sneak away to delight in the solitude of our ever changing Maine gardens, complete with a blackberry patch! Enjoy the gardens of the Inns at Blackberry Commons
The Inns at Blackberry Common are just three blocks to Camden harbor, renowned as the home to historic Maine schooners waiting to take you aboard for a memorable sail. Stroll the village and explore unique Maine shops, visit acclaimed galleries and find treasured antiques and boutiques! Walk to Camden's fine restaurants featuring local specialties, and of course, lobster!

We are delighted to help you create a perfect romantic celebration or Maine adventure! Lighthouses and bicycling are our specialties!
