Introduction
Welcome to The Birches Bed and Breakfast, located in Southwest Harbor, Maine overlooking the beautiful ocean and Acadia National Park.
The Birches was built as a summer cottage in 1916. This summer cottage was built by Martha Brown Fink and was bought by the Homers in 1950. Extensive renovations in 1974 have produced a year-round house reminiscent of Maine at its best. Today, The Birches beckons you to experience its many charms in an area of Maine known for its beauty.
Your Hosts, Dick and Rocky, will welcome you to one of their lovely guestrooms, and you will be served a wonderful breakfast, great conversation, and an informative discussion about the Island's tourist spots. Enjoy large airy rooms, private baths, ocean views, gardens, and the croquet court. We have 5 acres of grounds, no traffic noise, and it is just 350 yards to the first tee at the golf course.
