The Berry Manor Inn is located in a quiet residential neighborhood (not on Rt. 1) within walking distance to the downtown harbor, restaurants, museums and shops. Rockland is the geographic center of mid-coast Maine located halfway between LL Bean and Portland and Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The Berry Manor Inn is ideally situated to be your home away from home and easily accessible by public or private transportation. Regular bus service from Boston will bring you to the bus terminal at the bottom of Talbot Avenue in the State Ferry Office. Cape Air, a small regional carrier, flies three times daily from Boston to Rockland's airport (RKD) located about 4 miles from the inn. Early in 2010, train service from Boston will also be available. Daily airline flights connect from most major cities to nearby airports like Portland International Jetport (~1.5 hrs south); Bangor's International Airport (~1.75 hrs north); Manchester, New Hampshire's airport (~3.5 hrs), and Boston's Logan International Airport (~4 hrs). From the South:

Take Route I-95 North to exit 6A Route I-295. Follow I-295 through Portland until it merges back to I-95. Continue north on I-95 until Exit 22 - Coastal Route 1North - at Brunswick/Bath.

Follow Route 1 North approximately 55 miles directly into Rockland. At the first traffic light in Rockland, take a left onto Broadway (Route 1A - Alternate Route 1). The police and fire station will be just past the light on the right, and Stella Maris Apartments will be on your left before the light.

Go straight through the next traffic light at the intersection of Broadway with Limerock Street and continue until the fourth street on your right, which is Talbot Avenue. Turn right on Talbot Avenue.

The Berry Manor Inn will be the second building on your left, burgundy with gold trim, and our off-street parking is located behind the Inn.

From the North:

Take Route 1 South from Camden into Rockland, a distance of approximately 6 miles.

Continue through Rockland on Route 1 South until it splits into two separate roads, one block apart.

Route 1 South becomes Union Street, Route 1 North is Main Street - a one-way the wrong way.

Bear right at the split. The Brown Bag Restaurant will be on your right and the Rockland Savings & Loan will be directly in front of you. Stay in the right-hand lane and Talbot Avenue will be the third street on your right after Rankin Street.

Take a right at the Vinalhaven Ferry sign onto Talbot Avenue and continue 1 ½ blocks to the Berry Manor Inn on your right. If you come to a stop sign, you've passed us!
