Introduction

The Apple Blossom B&B is a 1727 farmhouse situated on eleven acres. Our rural setting is certainly not remote. We are an easy ten minutes to beaches and historical York Village and just twenty minutes from Strawbery Banke in Portsmouth, NH.

Each of our five guest rooms has a private bath with shower, cable television and air conditioning. Guests may have early morning coffee or tea brought to their room. A formal breakfast is served daily in our fireplaced dining room or on our screened porch. Afternoon tea and sweets are set out in our dining room, and in the evening wine and cheese are offered in the living room.

front porch For a relaxing outdoor activity, read a book on the wrap-around porch or take a dip in our swimming pool. We offer the best of both worlds, as our location is rural but only minutes from golf, beaches and shopping. Biking, kayaking, canoeing, whale watching and hiking opportunities abound, and the adventurous types can enjoy cross-country skiing in 20" of fresh snow just a short half-mile from our door.

If shopping is your bag, the famous Kittery outlet malls are just a ten-minute drive, and there are many antique shops in the area villages and on Route 1. For golfers, Apple Blossom B&B is a half-mile away from the new and highly acclaimed Ledges Golf Club and an easy drive to many others. The Ogunquit Playhouse, one of the oldest theatres in the country, is an easy ride up Route 1, and there are innumerable dining opportunities nearby from fine dining to Maine "lobster in the rough".
