The Admiral's Inn is a resort located on spacious grounds in the center of the village. Stroll to the beach, the Marginal Way, Perkins Cove, The Ogunquit Playhouse and all of the village pleasures. Enjoy a morning swim or afternoon retreat in the privacy of our large backyard heated pool or hot tub. We are unique in offering not only traditional inn accommodations, but also hotel rooms suites. The Admiral's Inn has 16 rooms, all with private baths. All rooms have individually controlled air-conditioning and televisions. |
We have just finished major renovations. All rooms have new mattresses, new bedding and towels! Amenities include wireless internet service, fax, TVs, VCRs, DVDs. We also offer an on-premises lounge and restaurant, lots of inside and outside common areas, ice maker, videos, books/newspapers, games, umbrellas, beach chairs, heated pool, Jacuzzi, porch/patios, and plenty of parking.

Originally called "The Playhouse Inn", then "The Post Road Inn", The Admiral's Inn is Ogunquit's oldest Bed and Breakfast, and has been operating as an Inn for nearly 50 years! Now Ogunquit's finest private resort, the historic Admiral's Inn is unique to this coastal town. It was the original stagecoach stop on route to and from Boston, and the home away from home of many famous artists, film and theater performers. In later years, it was the private summer residence of the popular and successful Hollywood comedian, Totie Fields. |

The compound is large - the grounds are just under 2 acres, and offer ample parking and room for recreational activities such as volleyball, softball, football and other lawn-games. Also nearby are golf, miniature golf, deep sea fishing and many other additional summer activities. You can be as active or as relaxed as you wish. The choice is yours. In 2004 the entire Carriage House, with 6 guest rooms, was completely gutted and renovated. The Inn was completely painted, new decks added, pool heater installed, and bar opened. 2005 saw the complete renovation of the main building and major improvements to the gardens and grounds! The Cocktail Lounge is open all year. Join us for a great club-alternative. Instead of sitting at a bar stool trying to have a conversation over the crowd, join us at The Admiral's Inn where you can play games or even watch a movie!
The guests and locals have made this a complete success. Since opening the bar, The Admiral's Inn has been the hang out for locals. Some local groups have opted to have their meetings in the meeting room before retiring to the lounge for a drink.
