Introduction
Located in the oldest village in the White Mountains, our historic home was once the residence of Admiral Robert E. Peary, arctic explorer and discoverer of the North Pole. Although close to the bustle of North Conway, the house sits away from it all on a tranquil six and a half acres of beautiful lawns, woods and perennial gardens.
The house comprises of 7 comfortable and quiet guest rooms; a spacious living room with a massive fireplace, TV/VCR, ample seating and a regulation pool table; an intimate parlor for quiet reading or reflection, a library, a three-season enclosed porch overlooking the lawns and a huge farm-house style kitchen, all offered in a relaxed and immaculate atmosphere.
For Breakfast, savour the aromas and tastes of Derrek's beautifully prepared and presented food, featuring innovative and traditional cuisine from around the world. Our daily entrees include such diverse delights as Huevos Rancheros, decadent Cheese Blintzes with homemade Blueberry sauce, Sun-dried Tomato Sausage Frittata or Pineapple Upside Down Bread Pudding.
The White Mountains and Maine lakes offer year-round activities such as hiking, biking, antiquing, shopping, boating, skiing and snowmobiling. Further afield, Maine and New Hampshire offer a variety of historical and cultural experiences, all within an easy drive. Surrounded by beautiful lakes, mountains and rivers, our home is the perfect getaway spot year-round.
