Introduction
Situated on a peninsula at the southern end of the Pemadumcook Chain of Lakes, a collection of five lakes totalling 18,000 acres in size, 5 Lakes Lodge has commanding views of the heart and soul of inland Maine, majestic Mt. Katahdin. At a height of 5267', Katahdin is Maine's highest mountain. It is surrounded by a 240,000 acre wilderness preserve known as Baxter State Park, an outdoor lovers paradise.
"Their beautiful, brand new lodge is literally surrounded by water and the view across the lake to the distant mountains is truly breathtaking."
"Luxury notwithstanding, what makes 5 Lakes Lodge truly unforgettable is its location."
We like to tell people that we're located on "The Other Coast of Maine", the largest area of undeveloped wilderness east of the Mississippi. If you're looking to escape from all of the pressure of todays hectic world, then we have what you're looking for. Especially if "roughing it softly" is what you have in mind.
Our beautiful log lodge was designed to compliment our natural surroundings and utilizes wood and stone to create a feeling of warmth and comfort throughout. Named after the five individual lakes, all of our guest rooms have wonderful lake & mountain views and offer amenities such as king size cedar log beds, fireplaces, Satellite TV, air conditioning, refrigerators and Canadian rockers. All rooms have private baths that feature Jacuzzi tubs, bidets, heated towel racks and plenty of big plush towels.
Rates: $150 - $ 250 per night
A full country breakfast is available to our guests each morning.
Common areas in the lodge include our cathedral ceiling Great Room with massive field stone fireplace and overstuffed leather furniture and our peaceful lake view reading loft. Outside you can grab a spot on our beach, relax in our adirondack chairs or dangle your feet in the water from one of our docks.
