Located in the 53,000 acre Savage River State Forest and just minutes from Deep Creek Lake, the inn was originally a classic farm house built in 1934. Its history dates back to the Revolutionary War. In 1992 the house was totally renovated, decorated and transformed into a cozy romantic mountain inn.

The Inn's large Great Room with its massive stone fireplace is the focal point for enjoying a relaxing atmosphere and a lively conversation with other guests. It also has a entertainment center for news, weather, sport games, and movies. Either inside or outside on our red brick patio, morning dining is always relaxing with great coffee and a delicious breakfast. The great room opens onto an outside deck with spectacular mountain views.

In addition to the 4 guest rooms, we also have a private Fox Den Log Cabin nestled in a stand of pine trees and just a short distance to the inn. Step back in time with this cozy log cabin and enjoy the mountain scenery.
