Introduction

Welcome to the Peninsula House, just a few steps away from the water in historic Annapolis. As well traveled, well informed innkeepers, Jan and Ruth Cort are eager to make your stay at Peninsula House a memorable experience.

Each room is richly appointed with antiques and includes a spacious private bath with period fixtures that are restored originals. Each evening your bed is turned down with a sweet treat on each pillow.

Breakfast at Peninsula House is a special occasion. Our first course is always an artistically arranged fruit dish. A sample of menu items might include Drunken Crab Strata, Stout and Gouda Pancakes with Lemon Butter Crab Benedict or Butternut Soup and Mini Chicken and Basil Ravioli. Whatever your tastes, we have something to delight your tastebuds.

Annapolis, Maryland
As the state capital, Annapolis has fine dining spots along with dozens of small shops bordering Main Street from the city docks to the capital building. Be sure to explore Maryland Avenue for amazing antiques and more unique stores.

Here on our own peninsula, on the Eastport restaurant row, you may enjoy some of the best dining available in the area. Experience waterfront dining with magical sunset views and charming local atmospheres. As our guest, you will receive coupons good for desserts or appetizers from local restaurants.

Annapolis is the home of the United States Naval Academy, where you can find much of the history of the Navy including one of the finest collections of model ships in the world. Daily tours are available.

Annapolis is the also the sailing capital of the world. If you are coming by boat, we can arrange to have you picked up. We also can arrange tours of the Annapolis Harbor aboard several beautiful boats.

In October, Annapolis hosts the two largest boat shows in the country: the Sailboat show and one week later, the Powerboat show. By land or by sea, there is much to do in Historic Annapolis, whatever your interests or time of year.
