Snow Hill, Maryland (MD) Bed and Breakfast: The Mansion House is a lovely waterfront planter's residence located in the village of Public Landing. The property overlooks a broad expanse of Chincoteague Bay with Assateague Island looming in the distance. Built around 1835 by landowner and judge Ara Spence, this four-part stepped house with c. 1850 2-story, center hall addition and 2-story porch was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the Maryland National Trust.

The Mansion House

The four guest rooms in the Mansion House are uniquely decorated with just the right combination of comfort and style, all with private bath, fireplace, queen bed and Swedish Pressure Relieving Mattress. Most rooms with picturesque water views. The Mansion House has central air conditioning and hot water heat for year round comfort.

Sunset Cottage on Paw Paw Creek (The Mary Fell House - Sleeps 4)

Sunset cottage is surrounded by Cypress trees and has a wonderful view of Paw Paw Creek and the Chincoteague Bay. The screened porch is a great place to relax and you can watch the sunset from our private dock. The perfect place for families. The cottage has two bedrooms and one and a half baths, washer/dryer, full kitchen, dining room and large living room with working fireplace. The first bedroom has a queen bed and half bath. The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be moved together. The queen sofa bed in the living room allows additional sleeping arrangements. Breakfast in the Mansion House dining room is optional.

Policies
  • A valid credit card (or advance check deposit) is required to secure your reservation.
  • A deposit of one-night stay may be charged to your credit card with balance due at departure.
  • A two-night minimum stay is required weekends in high season and on holidays.
  • Check-in is between 3 and 7 PM; arrangements may be made in advance for late arrivals. Check-out by Noon.
  • Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and traveler's checks are accepted.
  • Rooms from $159/night.
  • Rates are for double occupancy and include our full gourmet breakfast.
  • There is a $20 per night charge for an extra person in the room.
  • Rates for Sunset Cottage (sleeps 4) from $189 to $250 per night.
  • Inquire about discounted weekly and monthly rentals, special weekend packages and corporate rates.
  • Rates are subject to state (5%) and county (4%) taxes.
  • Rates may be subject to change except on confirmed reservations.
  • High Season: June through October and all Holidays
  • Gift certificates are available.
  • For the comfort of our guests no smoking is allowed indoors.
  • Cancellation Policy
    • If you find it necessary to cancel or change your reservation, please call at least seven days prior to scheduled arrival time for refund of your deposit.
    • For cancellations of less than 7 days you are responsible for the full value of the reservation unless we are able to rebook the room.
    • Holidays and multiple bookings require 14 day notice.
    • Also, there are no refunds for early departures.
