Introduction

Entering The Gaithersburg Inn is like stepping back in time as one is surrounded by period Victorian antiques, beautifully carved woodwork, gleaming original heart of pine floors, and lace curtains at every window. The half acre grounds have been completely landscaped, adding two handicapped accessible ramped bricked walkway entries to the house and a custom built 20 by 14 foot gazebo. The inn also includes a formal front parlor, dining room, sitting room with fireplace, as well as open and closed porches.

An exceptional cook and baker, Terry is also knowledgeable in the art of serving a proper afternoon tea. Each overnight guest is treated to a delightful breakfast prepared at the Inn. Guest can choose to enjoy tea or wine and cheese in the afternoon.

Terry and Chris feel the Inn is more than a simple Bed and Breakfast. Rather they describe it as a "Bed and Breakfast and Beyond". In addition to being an elegant and distinctively charming bed and breakfast, the Inn is ideally suited for intimate gatherings or larger events. Guests may arrange to use a portion or all of the Inn, including the grounds, for occasions of any size such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings or business meetings. The Kirtzes can assist guests in fashioning events tailored to their individual needs, drawing upon their relationships with a wide range of local professionals such as caterers, florists, and photographers. Guests of the Inn may choose to venture into Old Towne Gaithersburg, located just over a block away, to explore the various shops and restaurants. Asbury Methodist Village retirement community is nearby, as is Lakeforest Mall, and a full service fitness facility. The Inn is less than a half mile from the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, the site of numerous cultural and entertainment events throughout the year. Also in the area are The Gaithersburg Arts Barn, The Montgomery Playhouse, Strathmore Center for the Performing Arts and Black Rock Center for the Arts.

The extensive grounds were professionally landscaped with guest use in mind. Tables, benches and chairs are located at different strategic locations so guests can enjoy the pastoral tranquility undisturbed.

A specially designed 20 by 14 foot gazebo with upgraded electric and lighting was added with special events in mind. In addition to being a place where overnight guests can relax, read, snack or snooze, it is ideal for outdoor events such as weddings, teas, and even business meetings.

  • Reservations are made by calling (301) 330-1331 or toll free at (800) 771-0282 or via email at info@gaithersburginn.com.
  • Check-in Time will be arranged at the time reservations are made.
  • Check-out Time is 12 noon, unless special arrangements are made in advance.
  • We are a non-smoking inn.
  • Off-Street Parking is available on the Inn grounds.
  • Room rates range from $125 - $150 per night for single or double occupancy and include a full service homemade breakfast, parking and high-speed internet service. Arrangements can be made for a friend, relative, or business associate to join you for breakfast with advance notice and at additional charge.
  • Meetings or special functions rates are priced on an individual basis. Please contact the Inn to discuss your plans in more detail.
  • Cancellation Policy: We will hold your reservation with a credit card. We require 48 hour notice prior to date of arrival in order to cancel a reservation, othewise a cancellation fee will apply.

The Inn is conveniently located near highway I-270, exit 11, the MARC train,
and the Metro for easy travel to the heart of Washington, DC.
