Come escape the everyday stress of life at the Cambridge House Bed and Breakfast. Located along the shores of the Choptank River, this 24 room sea captain's mansion is a wonderful getaway for the urbanite and a welcome, luxurious retreat for the business traveler. Relax and enjoy the Victorian elegance of this property located in the historic district of Cambridge, MD.

The Cambridge House is within walking distance of the Choptank River and the main street, where there are specialty shops, cafes, museums, galleries, restaurants and antiques. Our area offers a variety of outdoor activities and events, plus a rich history. The Inn is conveniently located near St. Michaels, Easton, Salisbury and Ocean City, as well as several wildlife sanctuaries. Your visit can be filled with activity, or it can be just a quiet getaway.

Queen Anne Room This Queen Anne-style house features Old World accommodations with fireplaces, terraces and balconies in most bedrooms. Each guest room offers a private bath, queen or king size bed, air conditioning, telephone, clock radio with CD player and TV. Most rooms are 18'x22' with 10' ceilings and have an area rug covering hardwood floors (many original) giving warmth to these spacious rooms. Closets and armoires provide guests with comfortable, clean accommodations.

If reading in front of the fireplace is your idea of the perfect weekend, you may never want to leave the Cambridge House Bed and Breakfast. The original cottage, built in 1847, was recently converted into a cozy library, housing many books written about the Chesapeake Bay area. Curl up with a good book, play cards or board games, watch a movie, or just enjoy the view of the Choptank River Bridge.

Enjoy a delicious gourmet breakfast with other guests at the main dining room table or at a table for two overlooking the garden and lily pond. Afternoon and evening refreshments are displayed on the antique Italian marble top buffet. A wraparound porch provides a good setting for relaxing in the afternoon, and you may choose to cap off a romantic evening gazing into the night sky from the hot tub.
