Greetings from Bear Creek Crossing Bed and Breakfast, Deep Creek Lake and Wisp Resort Area's only traditional, European style bed and breakfast. We are located just 5 minutes from all recreational activities, shopping and dining locations. Planning a vacation or peaceful, stress-free getaway to our area? Your hosts, Peggy and Buz Gosnell have recaptured the serenity and hominess of European B&Bs of the past, where you follow your own pace and have no schedules to keep. Upon arrival, we invite our guests to make yourselves at home! And they do! We offer an informal, comfortable and relaxing environment. Our guests may recapture the past with a romantic, old fashioned horse drawn carriage/sleigh ride or an exciting dog sledding tour hosted by our neighbors. |

Do you get exhausted and frustrated with vacations where you cannot find the time or atmosphere to relax? Indulge yourselves with a couple's get away or family vacation and enjoy the private, peaceful tranquility found only in B&Bs of private residences. We are a peaceful, quaint B&B with two rooms available offering romantic, king sleigh beds with pillowtop comfort, luxury linens, private bathrooms, AC and flat screen TVs. There is a third room available for family members if needed. Our guests enjoy a private guest sitting room without the hotel atmosphere of commercial B&Bs. You have access to living/dining areas and the kitchen for snacks. We have beautiful, picket-fenced country gardens, grape arbor with a soothing hammock and a campfire/picnic area where our guests can relax and enjoy the greater things in life. We have a creek and 8 acres of forest with abundant wildlife for you to roam. |

We participate in the Wisp Resort Lodging Partner Program. We offer all Recreational Tickets including Mountain Coaster and Ski Lift Tickets. Our guests receive a 5% discount purchasing tickets when making Reservations or upon Arrival. This Amenity is for the convenience of our guests. We offer a beautiful covered porch with wicker furniture and ferns swaying in mountain breezes for your relaxing pleasure. Meals are served here or in our country flower garden during the summer months. Rejuvenate your spirit in our hammock under the grape arbor and enjoy stargazing while sitting around the campfire in the picnic area. Our picket-fenced area is great for kids to play and pets to roam. Maybe you will be one of our guests lucky enough to see a black bear or our local eagle! |

Enjoy a delicious country style breakfast, with Juice, Coffee, Tea, and Fresh Fruit. We have Omelets, Peaches and Creme Brulee French Toast, French Toast Sticks, fresh Blueberry Pancakes, delicious Quiches, Country Meats, Bran and Blueberry Muffins, Cookies and "Maggie's" Chocolate Fudge. All of our meals are homemade from fresh ingredients! Organic breakfasts prepared upon request with ingredients from our neighborhood organic market. Our B&B has Central Air and a Natural Stone, Wood burning Fireplace for your comfort. Guests feel welcomed and comfortable in our home from the moment they arrive. We make a point not to mix a family with couples who do not enjoy children, when scheduling our rooms. Buz and Peggy Gosnell are your Innkeepers at Bear Creek Crossing. Buz is a direct descendent of Meshack Browning, one of Garrett County's very first settlers. Meshack is a famous historic wildlife hunter and the author of the book, Forty-Four Years Of The Life Of A Hunter. Buz is also a corporate pilot by trade, whose extensive travel enables him to converse with guests and make them feel welcome from the time they arrive. Peggy is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Her grandfather built one of the original log cabins on Deep Creek Lake, which is still standing today. They have identical twin daughters who are graduates of the United States Naval Academy, now serving in the Navy and Marine Corps. "Traveling extensively in Europe, we realized the Deep Creek Lake/ Wisp Resort area was missing Traditional Bed and Breakfast Establishments of Private Homes for visitors which are so common in Europe. We feel that our traditional B&B is a wonderful way to introduce and welcome visitors to the area!" |
