Introduction

Twin Maples Bed & Breakfast - Williamsburg, Massachusetts Welcome to Twin Maples Bed & Breakfast, a 200 year old colonial farmhouse located on 27 acres, less than 2 miles from the center of the lovely New England village of Williamsburg, Massachusetts. You will find a lovely vista of open pastures with Hereford cattle grazing, stone walls, a wooded area with logging trails to walk, flower and vegetable gardens, an outdoor sitting area and patio. Our B & B consists of three guest rooms and a shared bath with tub and shower.

A full country breakfast is served in the charming candle-lit dining room on quaint hand made pottery, silver and linens. Breakfast choices consist of juice, fresh fruit, homemade muffins, coffee cake, bacon and eggs, omelettes, French toast, buttermilk pancakes, quiche, regular and decaf coffee, teas, pure maple syrup from our own sugar house, and fresh raspberries from our berry patch.

The guest sitting room, with working fireplace, is a comfortable room with an antique Victorian settee and chairs, perfect for watching TV, playing games, or quiet reading. The large country kitchen - with original fireplace and Dutch oven and a wood-burning stove tucked into the fireplace - is the hub of the home. It is a bright, cheery room with a sitting and dining area and the aroma of baked goods fresh from the ovens.

During the Winter months (November - February) we offer bread baking workshop weekends. Learn to bake hearty country loaves in an original 200 year old brick oven. A two night stay is required, and full breakfasts and Saturday lunch are included. More information regarding bread baking weekends is available upon request.

Dining Room

Sitting Room Our sugar house is open and in operation in early Spring (late February, month of March and early April.) We tap our maple trees, collect the sap and boil the sap into maple syrup on a 100 year old wood-fired arch. During sugaring season (with advance reservations), we serve pancake breakfasts in a private dining area which seats ten guests. Our experienced maple producers provide you with a tour and information about the sugaring operation. During haying season (late June and late August), you will find us in the fields bringing in baled hay for our animals and for sale.

Twin Maples Bed & Breakfast is located in the town of Williamsburg, just ten minutes West of Northampton and Smith College; twenty minutes to Amherst and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst College and Hampshire College; and twenty-five minutes to Mt. Holyoke College in South Hadley. We are also just one hour East of the Berkshires, Tanglewood, and the Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival. Finally, we are twenty to twenty-five minutes Southwest of Historic Deerfield and the Yankee Candle Flagship Store.

Williamsburg is a lovely New England town with approximately 2000 residents. It is situated at the foothills of the Berkshires and is popular for biking and hiking. There are many lovely country roads to explore either on foot, bike or car. It is surrounded by the lovely towns of Goshen, Chesterfield, Cummington and Ashfield. Collectively, these towns are referred to as "the Hilltowns". Williamsburg has several very nice restaurants, a wonderful General Store, historic museum, and several churches. Its close proximity to Northampton and I-91 make it an ideal location with a country feeling.
