Relax in the enclosed front porch and listen to the wind rustling through the trees. Leave your worries behind and enjoy the beauty before you.
Featured in People Places and Plant's August 2006 issue in the special section:
Garden Inns of the Northeast as Massachusetts' representative.
Innkeeper Candace Talley has created a calming, expansive respite with the scents and visual beauty of an English cottage garden. Guests of the Stone House Farm enjoy wonderful, innovative garden atmospheres, minutes from downtown and U Mass campus.
A rich variety of perennials line the 300' roadside border along the white picket fence, brightening the day for passersby and visitors to the farm. Paths through the woodland gardens, shaded by mature trees, invite meditative walks and places for people to roam. The half acre cutting garden yields flowers for a roadside stand, weddings and events from June through October and ensure guests will awaken to seasonal fresh flowers.
The flower farm is behind the barn.
Each morning a continental breakfast is served in the suite or garden, and includes freshly baked scones, assorted yogurt, fresh fruits and granola.

Childrens' Programs
Classes at Stone House Farm feature small groups for kids in first through sixth grades, creative and quality art and craft projects in the nurturing environment of a working flower farm.
The Stone House Flower Farm
Tried and true, plants bought here were raised here and thrive in your garden at home. Flowers are harvested at the end of the day, when the weather is cooler so that they'll last longer in your home - at least a week. The half-acre Cutting Garden is behind the farmhouse and the barn. The Strolling Gardens are on the opposite side of the property. The Cottage Garden greets you as you enter the front of the house.
The Barn Activities
The barn is home to goats, chickens and ducks as well as a newly remodeled art studio where an after school art program for children is among the many happenings. Candi arranges flowers here and the gunea pigs live and raise new families here. Decorative furniture painting, among other crafts, is taught for adults and children. A summer program for children featuring old-fashioned farm cooking and crafting runs for ten weeks this summer.
Twice featured in the Amherst Historical Society's Garden Tour, Stone House Farm has also earned an Historic Preservation award from the town of Amherst.
