Introduction

Nineteen Pleasant Street was built in 1880 in the Gothic Revival style. The rooms are furnished with an abundance of antiques, with an eye toward comfort and elegance. We are in the center of West Brookfield, which has one of the prettiest examples of a New England common. Pleasant Street B & B - West Brookfield, Massachusetts

Spring and summer bring the famous Brimfield Antiques Fair. If you enjoy antiquing, shops abound in our area. There are many country fairs in late summer and fall. Old Sturbridge Village, a re-creation of an early 19th century New England town, is open pretty much year round. For music lovers we are about an hour away from Tanglewood in the Berkshires and, without paying Berkshires prices, you can enjoy the Boston Symphony's summer concerts. For more active recreation, the area offers many hunting and fishing opportunities, golfing, hiking, beautiful scenic roads and open spaces for biking and exploring, or paddle down the Quaboag or Ware Rivers. Our picnic basket is available to all guests. Of course, in the autumn, the hills and valleys are show-stopping!

The living room is available for relaxing, waiting for friends or Sunday afternoon tea. A full breakfast is served in the dining room or you can settle back in the sunny glow of the morning room. Local produce in season, as well as locally raised meat and eggs, compliment the homemade breads and muffins. Treat yourself in the morning to fruit juices, fresh fruit in season, local jellies and syrup, a hot seasonal dish, cereal, fresh coffee and a large variety of teas. Let us know if you have special diet needs.

The Garden Room has two twin-size beds and can be set up with a king-size bed upon request. This room shares a bath with the Jenny Lind room. The Sage Room is luxuriously decorated with a cherry bedroom suite and custom damask draperies and bedding. Comfortable and romantic, this room has a queen-size bed and private shower/bath. The Jenny Lind Room named after the Swedish Nightingale it has a full bed with canopy and is a very comfortable room.
