Introduction

The Park Lane is a charming Bed and Breakfast conveniently nestled in the quiet tree lined streets of Newton Centre, a lovely suburb just west of Boston. It is a large Baronial style stucco (mix of Victorian and Colonial), in a quiet residential area that is a quick 7-10 minute walk to public transportation (Newton Centre stop on the Riverside Trolley line), shops and restaurants. It is also in close proximity to the many area colleges and universities.

Guests may relax in the first floor sitting room or the lovely front porch. A generous continental breakfast is served in the breakfast nook. Your hosts will acquaint you with the area tourist attractions and directions, either by road or public transportation. There's even an exercise room to work off all the food Boston offers. If you enjoy bicycling, bring your bikes with you. We'd love to show you some good routes and may even ride along with you!

The two guest rooms on the third level share a bath and are very private to the rest of the home. A skylight brightens the hall in between. Both rooms overlook the neighbor's gardens. Both rooms have color televisions with cable, A/C (in season), their own thermostats and upon request air purifiers. We will also make a cable modem available to any room. A third room is located on the second floor in the rear which provides a quiet view through the trees. It has a queen size bed, central A/C, a ceiling fan, cable television, a private dressing closet which rounds to the vanity and bathroom areas. The bath has a whirlpool for those "tired touring feet."
