Manchester-by-the-Sea (also called just Manchester) is a town on Cape Ann in Essex County, north of Boston on the coast of Massachusetts. One mile from the town center is Singing Beach, so named because the sand squeaks when you walk on it. This beach is quite popular during summer months in particular because it is easy to get to from Boston on the Manchester-by-the-Sea Commuter Rail. Manchester by-the-Sea is a residential community on one of New England's most picturesque harbors. Should you want to visit, you could book a room at a Manchester-by-the-Sea B&B or Manchester-by-the-sea inn, which would be minutes from Singing Beach. There you could see the famous tourist attraction - Eaglehead, which is a rock composite that is infamous for rock climbing and other recreation activities. Masconomo Park in Manchester-by-the-Sea offers biking and hiking trails. After an all day outing, you will probably want to relax at a Manchester-by-the-Sea bed and breakfast. Then you will be ready to dine at Tom Shea's Restaurant, which offers breath taking views and seasonal menus. Village Restaurant located in Essex, minutes from Manchester-by-the-Sea, is also a possible choice since it was voted as "quite simply one of the best seafood restaurants in Massachusetts" by Boston's Hidden Restaurants.
