About the Inn
Built by the shipwright Ezekial Hallett in 1825, Liberty Hill came by its name as it sits on the site of the original Liberty Pole, where in 1776 the Sons of Liberty raised their flag and declared their independence from Great Britain. This majestic, Greek Revival inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and sits atop a knoll overlooking the beautiful and historic Olde King's Highway. Centuries old rhododendron and lovely lilacs, peonies and roses grace the grounds, while inside the inn old world elegance is combined with modern charm and convenience.
Recently restored by the present innkeepers, Liberty Hill offers the finest in luxury accommodations. Catering to those seeking an escape from the routine of daily life, Liberty Hill prides itself on its warm and gracious hospitality. Breakfast is the heart of our morning, where sumptuous gourmet fare is served from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., or earlier if needed. Jazz or classical music plays in the background, while birds flutter around the feeders in our side garden.
"The Liberty Hill Inn is a beautiful place and our Bridal Suite (Waterford) was all we hoped for. Thanks again." Arlington Heights, IL
"Nothing overdone, nor overlooked." Minneapolis, MN
