Introduction

La Cappella Suites, a North End bed and breakfast inn, is your home away from home in Boston. Located in the heart of "Little Italy", the city's oldest residential community, we are at the birthplace of the American revolution, the center of Italian culture and cuisine, and in one of the nation's most vibrant urban neighborhoods.

La Cappella - "The Chapel" - was founded and built in 1941 by Italian immigrants belonging to "La Societá di San Calogero di Sciacca" as a small one-story chapel on historic North Street. Sixty years later, we renovated and added four new floors to the structure, converting it into our single family home and a North End bed and breakfast inn, while preserving its architecturally-significant facade. Our self-contained, private suites offer dining/living rooms, balconies, city skyline and some harbor views.

We are pleased to welcome you to Boston, to our historic neighborhood, and to La Cappella Suites. Ci vediamo!

Strolling down the North End's narrow, winding streets, your senses are stimulated by the sights, sounds and aromas of European village life. Hear Italian spoken in front of open-air cafes along Hanover Street and smell the intoxicating aroma of fresh basil, garlic and tomato sauce being prepared in the four-score Italian restaurants running the gamut of price and artistic complexity.

Take a guided tour of neighborhood Italian markets with Michele Topor on her award-winning North End Market Tours or learn more about the history of the neighborhood and its many untold secrets in the popular North End Secret Tours.

La Cappella is steps from the Freedom Trail and its many historic sites, including Faneuil Hall, the Paul Revere House, and Old North Church. Boston's Financial District, the city's central downtown department stores, and the many fine shops and eateries at Quincy Market are within a 10-minute walk.

The North End is surrounded on three sides by Boston Harbor, which provides for gentle breezes in the warmer months and pleasure boating activity year-round. La Cappella is only one block from the HarborWalk, which includes newly-restored playgrounds, an indoor skating rink, Bocce courts and the world-renowned New England Aquarium. The Aquarium offers, among other things, whale watches, sea lion shows, and a new IMAX theater - all within a few minute's stroll from La Cappella. We are about a 20-minute walk to the Fleet Center, home to the Boston Bruins, Celtics and diverse concerts and performances.

The remainder of the city, including the Theater District, Fenway Park, Symphony Hall, Museum of Fine Arts, Beacon Hill, Back Bay, and nearby Cambridge are all easily accessible by public transportation or taxi service.

The neighborhood Our decor is warm, elegant and airy. Each suite is independently climate-controlled and includes central air conditioning.

Each floor has common living and dining areas, which include a washer and dryer, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffeemaker.

Guests are invited to help themselves to our modest, complimentary, self-serve breakfast in the dining areas. For guests wishing to eat breakfast out, Starbucks and three restaurants offering full breakfasts are all located within a one-minute walk.
