Introduction

Isaiah Jones Homestead is an elegant 1849 Victorian Bed and Breakfast Inn and Carriage House in charming historic Sandwich Village. The inn is furnished almost entirely with wonderful antiques. From the moment you enter our bed and breakfast, the curved staircase, beautiful woodwork, and soft colors indicate that this is the special place you've been looking for on Cape Cod.

Our Gathering Room, with its 11-foot ceiling and crown moldings, takes you back to the grandeur of the Victorian period when life was tranquil and travelers were pampered. The original fireplace and the deep bay windows invite relaxation after a busy day.

Dr. Jonathan Leonard The Main House features five guest rooms, and the unique Carriage House, circa 1875, overlooking the gardens and fishpond has been recently renovated to include two spacious guest suites. These 'mini suites' feature fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, air conditioning and sitting alcoves. All seven bedchambers have king or queen beds with triple sheeting, cozy sitting areas, air conditioning, and private baths en suite. Fresh flowers, spa robes, and a basket of amenities can be found in all rooms.

In the morning awaken to the aroma of freshly baked breads, sweet rolls, or muffins. A delicious hot entrée served by candlelight sets a warm tone to start your day. You will also enjoy fresh fruits and our own special blend of coffee. Herbal teas and brewed decaffeinated coffee are available, and cold beverages are always available for your pleasure.

Incorporated in 1639, Sandwich is the oldest town on Cape Cod and one of the oldest towns in the United States. It is steeped in history and has maintained its historic New England charm. Guests enjoy visiting the Sandwich Glass Museum, Thornton Burgess Museum, Green Briar Jam Kitchen, Hoxie House, and Heritage Plantation with its breathtaking rhododendron trails and antique automobile collection. Explore the Old King's Highway, a winding picturesque tour of old Cape Cod architecture, ocean views, and antique shops. We are within walking distance to fine restaurants, public tennis courts and to our Boardwalk and Cape Cod Bay. Boston, MA, and Newport, RI, are just an hour away.
