Travel information about Harwich Port, Massachusetts

Harwich Port is a small but lovely town located on Cape Cod in Massachusetts filled with many gracious B&Bs. If you plan to visit in the Fall be sure to attend the Harwich Cranberry Festival. With cranberry bogs only minutes away, it is the ideal place to celebrate this colorful berry. There are events ongoing for a full week, so you may need to take a break from the busy schedule and take a rest at a Harwich Port B&B or Harwich Port inn. The center of Harwich Port is a short walk from the beach, where you can look out at Nantucket Sound and actually see the island in the distance. If you like, take a nearby ferry to Nantucket, which is famous for its whaling history. When you get back, you might want to spend a quiet night at a Harwich Port bed and breakfast, but first you will want to eat at one of the many restaurants in town, like the the waterfront restaurant Brax Landing, which serves great seafood, or the Bank Street Grille, which is casual and reasonable, but offers excellent food.
