Thomas Hurlbut Room Our largest room, the Thomas Hurlbut Suite, is named for the pioneering papermaker who built Federal House for his family in 1824. This elegant room features a mahogany four-poster, rice pattern queen bed with a hand tied canopy. With its pleasant and spacious sitting area, you can easily lose yourself while relaxing in front of the warmth of the crackling gas fireplace. The large windows provide lovely views of the front lawn. Additionally, the couch is convertible into a single bed, enabling the room to accommodate three people. The room also offers a full private bath.
