Complete with pampering amenities, and an exceptional staff, the Captain's House Inn offers you the perfect getaway location for your Cape Cod vacation.

Our Cape Cod bed and breakfast accommodations are located in four distinct facilities – the Main House, an 1839 Greek-Revival style mansion, the attached Carriage House, the luxurious Stables and the 200-year-old "bow roof cape" called the Captain’s Cottage.

Main House Rooms
The 1839 Main House anchors the compound in Greek Revival elegance. Accommodations in this building include two large rooms and two magnificent suites.

Carriage House Rooms
Converted between 1987 and 1990, the barn and Carriage House were reborn into five lovely rooms. All of these are named after clipper ships that sailed from this area in the 19th Century.

The Stable Rooms
Originally a modest tool shed and then a bunkhouse for our interns, The Stables was transformed in 1997 into our most luxurious group of accommodations.

The historic ambiance of the Captain Hiram Harding room with its large wood-burning fireplace, beamed ceiling and original pumpkin pine flooring has made it a favorite of photographers and guests alike.

Policies
  • Check-In:
    • 3:00 p.m. check-in starts
  • Check-Out:
    • 11:00 a.m.
  • Rates:
    • Rates are based on single or double occupancy.
    • Applicable taxes (9.7%) and gratuities are not included.
    • There is an additional charge of $25/per night for a third person. Rollaway beds are an additional $25/per night.
  • Deposit Policy:
    • Reservations of one to four nights require an advance deposit equal to the rate of accommodation for one night.
    • Reservations of five nights or longer require an advance deposit equal to the rate of accommodation for two nights.
    • If a deposit is to be paid by check it must be received seven days from the date the reservation is made.
    • We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Amex.
  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Refund of the deposit will be made if we receive notice of the cancellation 14 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL.
    • If notice of the cancellation is received within the fourteen days your deposit can be refunded to the extent that we can rebook the room.
    • A $20 per room processing charge applies to all cancellations.
  • Minimum Stay Requirements:
    • Typically, a minimum stay of two nights is required on weekends for whirlpool rooms in the off-season and three nights is required during certain peak and holiday periods and from June through October. However, we are sometimes able to accommodate shorter stays if a booking fits between two other reservations or at the last minute, so please feel free to inquire.
  • Smoking Policy:
    • We are a non-smoking inn.
  • Children:
    • The inn does not meet the needs of children less than 10 years.
  • Pets:
    • We love pets, but not in our rooms. We will be happy to recommend a nearby boarding kennel.
