The common rooms are graced with antiques and Oriental rugs; the dining room has been restored with chair rail and recessed panel wainscoting. Whether you prefer the ambiance of an historic bed and breakfast inn, or the more contemporary Nantucket-style décor of our Garden Wing, we can accommodate you at the Brass Lantern Inn. All rooms have telephones, TVs and private baths - most have queen-sized beds.
Start your day in our sunny dining room where we serve a tempting continental breakfast, including fresh-baked muffins or breads, granola, fresh fruits and juices, coffee and tea. You may also enjoy your breakfast outside in our lovely Garden.
The Main Building was built after the 'great fire' that claimed much of Nantucket town in the late 1840's. To honor that period in history, all the rooms in the main building are named after whaling ships from Nantucket during the 1840's and 1850's. You can enjoy your stay in the Barclay, the Zenas Coffin or the Mary Mitchell.
The Garden Wing, designed to blend harmoniously with the original Greek Revival design, was built in the 1970's, long after the Brass Lantern had become a popular lodging establishment on Nantucket. If you prefer a more spacious, contemporary accommodation, you will enjoy the Sconset Rose, the Campanula or the Hydrangea.
Please join us on Saturday evenings in the Garden for our complimentary cocktail parties, which we have introduced to welcome you to Nantucket and to the Brass Lantern.
