Introduction
Birchwood Inn, which has been welcoming friends since 1767, is the only Lenox Inn on the National Register of Historic Places.

Secluded among white birches, stately oaks, and towering pines, this bed and breakfast inn has the pastoral stillness of a country morning yet is only a short walk to the celebrated restaurants, shops, galleries of historic Lenox.

Antiques, collectibles, quilts, and featherbeds are very much at home in our 12-guest room Colonial Revival mansion with seven working fireplaces.

Lenox is in the heart of the Berkshire hills, site of Tanglewood -- the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra -- and Shakespeare & Co. The Norman Rockwell Museum, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, The Williamstown and Berkshire Theater Festivals, The Clark Art Institute, MASS MoCA, and Hancock Shaker Village are among the myriad attractions a stone's throw away.

Birchwood Inn's neighboring Kennedy Park boasts hundreds of acres of wooded trails for hiking and cross-country skiing. Golf, tennis, downhill skiing and water sports are also close at hand.

The inn features 11 guest rooms -- six with fireplaces and television -- all rooms have private baths, antiques, and air-conditioning. Library, parlor, and dining room, each with fireplaces. Expansive porch and gardens. On a hill overlooking the historic village of Lenox.

Birchwood in the Spring Picture yourself...

enjoying garden flowers and hot-from-the-oven chocolate chip cookies as we show you to your comfortably furnished guest room...

awakening to the aroma of freshly brewed coffe and homemade breads baking in the oven...

ambling about our stone-fenced gardens high on a hill overlooking the village...

relaxing on our tranquil porch, enjoying our fresh-baked pastries and afternoon tea or...
curling up next to a blazing fire in the library or parlor.

Experience country elegance in a village setting.

Delicious Breakfast!
