Birch Hill Bed & Breakfast - Sheffield, Massachusetts You are cordially invited to feel at home while traveling in the Berkshires. Built around 1780, at the foot of Mt. Everett on 20 acres of wooded splendor, Birch Hill Bed & Breakfast (formerly Ivanhoe Country House) welcomes you. We are proud to offer quiet and comfortable tastefully decorated country rooms with private baths in a home built during The American Revolution.

Enjoy the refreshment of our in-ground pool, or swim, canoe, row, or kayak at the lake just across the road. Or, simply relax and enjoy the scent of acres of freshly mown lawn, a game of croquet; or the stillness that follows a summer shower.

Birch Hill is open year 'round, so plan to visit with us several times during the year. Sheffield is noted for its numerous quality antique shops, which will draw antique buffs back many times during the year.

The Chestnut Room The Chestnut Room, our large common room, with its library, CD music center, television, piano, and game tables is the perfect location to make yourself at home in any season.

Plan your trip to include the unmatched spectacle of our Fall Foliage, or the beauty of a picture perfect soft and alluring snow scene, while relaxing by a roaring, crackling fire or, your own room with a romantic, cozy, fireplace.
