We've been to New Orleans many times and always stayed in hotels--and always wondered what it would be like to stay in a grand Garden District home on or off St. Charleas Ave. Cindee and Southern Comfort made us imagine we were a part of one of the most magnificent neighborhoods in America. She makes a great New Orleans breakfast and is a fabulous tour guide. The house is spacious and comfortable with arrtractive antiques. A wonderful home base, near everything good, in a great town! Thank you Cindee! ~ Tom and Lani, 11/03/2008
This past weekend was my third stay at Southern Comfort and it was just as wonderful as the first two. Cindee is a marvelous hostess who knows New Orleans. She also makes a breakfast that causes the chefs at Brennens to be jealous. Southern Comfort is in a good location about 1/1/2 blocks off the street car line and walking distance to the Zoo. This is the place to stay if you are visiting anywhere from Houma to Baton Rouge and Gulfport to Lafayette. ~ John and Susie from Maitland, Florida, 10/31/2008
Just wanted you to know that we think about you all the time and enjoyed our stay with you last June. We are planning on making another trip to New Orleans this summer to relax and possiblby stay with you, but we have a new addition. Our son Evan Miles Dickerson was born April 15th and we would love for him to meet you. Take care and we are looking forward to seeing you soon. ~ Anthony and Rebecca from Dallas, TX, 05/12/2008
A beautiful, gracious, comfortable place to stay in New Orleans. Cindee, the hostess was even willing to get up and make me breakfast at 6:00 am so that I could attend educational sessions at7:00 am elsewhere in the city. The St. Charles Ave. streetcars were not running yet (reconstruction is a slow, slow process), but the house is conveniently located to downtown and the Garden District. When I go back to NO, I know where I'll be staying. ~ Michael from Murray, KY, 09/08/2007
This beautiful house in the Garden District of NOLA is a gem, with 3 beautiful, spacious, and comfortable bed rooms and private relaxing garden. Cindee is a wonderful innkeeper, extremely knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations and directions. Her breakfasts were wonderful and she is very agreeable to accommodating our dietary requirements. I would recommend this charming B&B. ~ Laminpa from Downingtown, 09/04/2007
