Rosalyn Saltarrelli-Cimino purchased the home in 1996 from the Jenkins family, grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Nesom. With the help of her husband, Donald, and her mother, Rose Loewenthal, acting as contractor, the house took over 18 months to restore, and on August 29, 1997 was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
This rare and elegant Eastlake Queen Anne Revival is filled with antiques and offers the grand living or yesteryear. Join us on our beautiful verandah sipping afternoon tea while watching the trains go by as they have for more than 150 years.
Just 10 minutes from Ponchatoula, America's Antique City, where you can shop for antiques forever! Or just take a leisurely drive north on scenic Hwy. 51 and shop along the way at the many flea markets and antique stores.

The beautiful campus of Southwestern Louisiana University in Hammond is 5 minutes from our front door. While you are there, stop in and visit the many coffee houses and specialty shops in the historic downtown district.
Only 40 minutes from our capital city of Baton Rouge, 1 hour from downtown New Orleans and 45 minutes from New Orleans International Airport. (Transportation to and from the airport is available upon request on Saturdays and Sundays only.)

Victorian Rose Room
A cozy but sunny room with soft rose colored walls, a wonderful rose border, comfortable double antique brass and iron bed as well as antique furniture. Private bath (a white marble shower for two!!!)
Angel Room
A very large rooms with king size bed, lace curtains, handmade quilts, filled with flowers and antique furniture. A perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon. Private bath
The Bridal Suite
The Bridal Suite is the largest of our guest rooms. The beautiful brass king-size bed with a lace tester, soft floral print border, cream-colored walls and cozy sitting area create a romantic elegant atmosphere.
Perfect for small adult receptions, luncheons, dinners (up to 36), corporate meetings and all special occasions.
Rates: $65 - $85 per room per night
Low corporate rates are available for overnight stays

Full home cooked breakfast. (Our homemade Creole cream cheese, jams and jellies are the best!).
We serve private romantic candlelight dinners upon request (Saturday & Sunday nights only).
