Special PackagesCookin With Class It's no secret that its a bit warm here in the Summer, but we have a really cool package that's sure to please your palate and pocketbook. You and your significant other (everyone loves this) will enjoy a two night stay at the Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast and we will register you both for a class at the New Orleans School of Cooking located in the French Quarter. Fun is the primary ingredient in their kitchen but you will receive recipes and generous samplings of all demonstrated items. The classes are lead by Creole/Cajun experts who teach how to prepare some of New Orleans' most well known specialties like Gumbo, Jambalaya, and Pralines, all seasoned with history, trivia, and a few tall tales. This package includes a standard queen bed accommodation, the "open class" for two, two streetcar passes for unlimited riding (a three day pass), Continental breakfast daily, free parking and more. The summer rate (June 1-September 15) is $269 plus tax. Additional nights are $99 per night plus tax. Some special events, holidays, and city wide conventions may prohibit the use of this package. Call toll free 1-800-490-8542 for details. This package is available during the season also at slightly higher rates. Inquire when you call to book.
