The Traveler's Room
The Traveler's Room was so called because it was customary during the time that Nancy Jane and Hazael lived here for travelers to stop at strangers' homes and ask for a room for the night. A separate outside staircase allows our guests private access to this room. This
was the "Bed and Breakfast" room of 1840.
A small, exclusive deck with table and chairs invites you to sip beverages and relax while enjoying the glorious view of the back woods and the pool.
The four-poster cannonball bed beckons you with indulgent linens and beautiful bedding -- and boasts a surprise, antique trundle bed beneath it! This bed provides ample room for a small child.
Inside the Traveler's Room is a private bath with an authentic 1800's washstand with china basin.
