The charming Courting Chamber boasts a view of the meadow and the pool. During winter, you can look through the branches of the trees and get a glimpse of the lake. A decorative fireplace adds to the ambience, and antique portraits decorating the walls follow the courtship theme by depicting couples in love. The authentic, full-sized 1820's rope bed has a modern foam mattress by Supple-Pedic.

The accompanying bath is magnificent, complete with a superb, oval-shaped whirlpool bath for two, a separate tiled shower and a large, dry sink vanity -- all equipped with pewter-look fixtures and the conveniences you would expect in a lavish bathroom. The brick wall, reminiscent of this room's origin as a sleeping porch, lends to the feel of times past.
