Murder Mystery

Witness the shots of Confederate skirmish at Springhill that took the life of citizen JR Jones, a union sympathizer. Was it John Hunt Morgan's new recruits encamped near Bardstown or Colonels Jesse's rowdy troops that were rustling horses? There will be reprisals to pay!

the murder mystery of 1864.

On the old plantation estate of Springhill, once named Anoatop by it’s builder John R. Jones, you will relax in the shade of the mighty brick manor, fill your dinner plate with southern meats, garden vegetables, and desserts under a huge elm tree, and sip a cool glass of Kentucky’s finest wines as you gaze across the bountiful vineyard and rolling hills that surround Springhill.

Settle back . Brace yourself. You’re going to experience a story seldom told, barely remembered of mystery, ...and murder ...that happened here, where you sit. You will know the truth by dark, perhaps. Could the murderer’s spirit still be here on the grounds, trapped by guilt till eternity?

This performance is based on a historical event at this site in 1864. We remember and give tribute to the men and women who suffered and sacrificed their lives for the freedom and privileges we enjoy. We remember and abhor the savagery and evil of war less we become complacent of god’s blessings of peace.

At 6:30 PM the evening starts with a wine reception with all your favorite
Springhill Wines followed by a full southern buffet dinner.

Performance Starts at 8:00 PM sharp
Tickets Only $39.95 per person

Limited seating in case of bad weather performance is held inside the manor.
