Introduction
The Rose of the Lake is the first and only Bed and Breakfast in Grand Rivers, and is also the home of the Steve Estes Fine Art Gallery. Your hosts, Steve and Gloria Estes display their art throughout the house, sharing their special talents as accomplished nationally accredited artists.

The guest rooms are all named for a delicate Rose and the decor is splashed with the colors of that Rose.

  • We are a non-smoking facility.
  • No pets please.
  • Cancellations must be made 10 days prior to the reservation date.
  • Check-in is 3 pm CST and check out is 11 am CST, however, we will be happy to work with your schedule if possible.

Each morning of your stay the kitchen will be filled with the aromas of the wonderful dishes being prepared for your breakfast. Make yourself comfortable in our dining room and enjoy being served a sumptuous meal on a setting of fine antique china, silver service from Steve's Greatgrandfather's jewelery store, and beautiful crystal glassware; The linens, the china, the crystal, the silver, and the mouthwatering foods; romantic breakfasts at their best!

In walking distance from The Rose of the Lake are many local attractions including Historic Grand Rivers and Patti's 1880's settlement. Walk from Lake Barkley to Kentucky Lake ( two of the largest manmade lakes in the world ) through the new Grand Rivers Park. On the way, eat at Patti and Bills Restaurant, hands down the best in the state! Take in the live Variety show at the new Baggett Playhouse on your way back. Come during the Christmas season and experience the fabulous light display in town. Then on top of that, we are located less than two miles from the gates of the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area; over 170 thousand undisturbed acres and 300 miles of undeveloped shoreline. Bring your bikes and ride the trails, or rent a kayak and explore the shoreline.
