Introduction

The Rose of the Lake is the first and only Bed and Breakfast in Grand Rivers, and it has the extra bonus of being the home of the Steve Estes Fine art Gallery. Steve's dream comes true at the Bed and Breakfast, giving he and Gloria an opportunity to express their love for serving the public in this intimate way. The Gallery allows them to share their special talents as accomplished nationally accredited Artists and Muralists. This combination of service and talents will make you want to visit again and again. Come lose yourself in the beauty of the arts and the Lakes area.

Steve and Gloria are at home in these surroundings, and it shows in their specialty with colors in contemporary to landscapes, nautical, and florals, including a variety of subjects of interest shown in their watercolors, oils, pastels, and pen and ink pieces.

Gloria is also known for specialty interior murals and other fine art commissions including portraits. She takes advantage of the area's great shoreline at her fingertips, using driftwood to create whimsical holiday pieces you will love to have. The family fine art 'genes" continue with a fine line of custom jewelery designed by daughter Sariah of the Seattle area and displayed in the gallery. You may catch your hosts at work with their passion for fine arts or murals most any time during your stay.

The Rose of the Lake's guest rooms have private baths and outdoor sitting areas. Each room is named for a delicate rose, and the décor is splashed with the colors of the rose.
