Introduction
The River House is a modern Inn overlooking the Ohio River, just fifteen miles east of Owensboro. This one of a kind Bed and Breakfast offers a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful grounds, and private quarters. Enjoy the magnificent evening sunsets over the Ohio River from one of four balconies including one that actually extends over the riverbank.
The River House features an Executive Cottage with a king size oak bed,
full kitchen, eating area, living room area, and the large bath has a whirlpool tub. You may
also choose from two guest rooms including the Emerald room with a king size cherry bed, private bath, and private deck, and the Ivory room has a queen size oak bed, with a private bath. All rooms have large stereo TVs, DVD Players, radios, telephones, clocks, high speed internet, desk, and a refrigerator.
Escape to a resort-like atmosphere with beautiful flowers and over 100 potted plants, peaceful scenery and a 20 x 40 in-ground pool. Enjoy the shaded walking path with park bench to sit and talk in a cool breeze.
The common area is decorated for the change of seasons. It includes a 65" HDTV with VCR and DVD player. You many enjoy your full country breakfast from this room which overlooks the pool and Ohio River, from one of the decks, or poolside.

The River House is just fifteen miles east of Owensboro, the industrial and cultural hub of western Kentucky. Located along the southern banks of the Ohio River, Owensboro is the third largest city in terms of population in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Owensboro is known as "a city of festivals." Each year, the world-famous International Bar-B-Q Festival and the Summer Festival draw thousands of spectators and participants from across the country and around the world.
Many Paddle Wheelers come by The River House including the American Queen, Delta Queen, Mississippi Queen and many others.
