This working farm is stately set on 14 tranquil acres in the heart of Kentucky's scenic Bluegrass Region (an hour southeast of Louisville and an hour southwest of Lexington), and the home is considered one of the best preserved Antebellum Homes in the Commonwealth. The main foyer (pictured here), which measures 12' wide and 45' long, is dominated by the original, freestanding, cherry spiral staircase and lighted by the smallest of three chandeliers from the early 1900s.

Awaken to the delightful strains of chamber music and the wafting aromas of freshly brewed coffee and hot-from-the-oven muffins, as the day begins with a specially prepared breakfast served on fine china in the dining room.

In the evening, relax with us under the soft light of the elegant chandelier and enjoy a complimentary homemade dessert and beverage. A spacious parlor/communal area offers cozy surroundings for a game of cards, puzzle making or curling up with a good book.

Relax at our peaceful, park-like setting. You will find double rockers on the front porch, garden benches, and a large patio area with tables and comfortable seating set among ancient maple trees. Stroll our flower gardens with Gazebo and multiple fountains and fish ponds, nature reserve, and orchard. Enjoy interacting and learning about our Alpacas & Llamas. Numerous bird feeders are located near the house attracting a variety of songbirds and hummingbirds. A picnic table and grill are available for guest use. Depending on harvest time, guests are welcome to pick from the 50+ orchard of apples, peaches, pears, cherries, and plums. We also grow grapes, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and an Herb Garden for Guest indulgence during breakfast. And of course, our Official Greeters and companion pets, Sophie and Sampson, our Golden Retrievers, are always available to you!

For your comfort, each of the seven guest rooms are air conditioned and have private baths in the rooms.

Families love Maple Hill Manor's working Alpaca & Llama Farm. Children can learn about these unique fiber animals, while feeding and interacting with these loveable, huggable creatures! Some Guest Rooms feature multiple beds, breakfast may be customized for children, and wide variety of beverages and snacks are always available. Summer yard games, porch rockers, swings, and garden areas to be enjoyed by all.
