1 stick butter, melted in oven in mixing bowl Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl. Mix with wooden spoon and pour into a well-greased 9x5x2 inch loaf pan. Bake at 375 degrees for one hour. Here at the Levi Hampton House, we like to freeze very ripe bananas for our breads. We thaw them in a microwave. These bananas will give a more intense banana flavor to the bread.
Orange Butter: Soften the cream cheese with a fork. Blend in the margarine. Add the orange juice and zest till well blended. Chill. Serve with warm banana nut bread. This orange butter is a wonderful compliment to the banana nut bread. It is truly a favorite with our guests.
