The large wrap-around, red-tiled front porch features a six-foot wicker swing and other guest-inviting wicker furniture. There is also a large wooden deck shaded by a 100-foot tall ivy-laden maple centenarian where guests can relax and think soothing thoughts while watching the sun set over the west hedge. For many, many years the center of the back lawn was used for playing badminton and croquet. The red brick walk which served as "out-of-bounds" still surrounds the court. Although the original rose gardens were removed a few years ago, the garden area will continue to be an evolving project for years to come. |
