Frankfort is located in the Bluegrass Region of central Kentucky. During the summer, Frankfort plays host to a wine and bourbon tour on which guests learn about wine and bourbon on a trip through the rolling bluegrass. Frankfort is also the capital of Kentucky featuring Frankfort B&Bs and tours of various historic government buildings are available. The Kentucky State Police Museum and Grand theaters are two big attractions. There is also a bourbon still that offers tours in the summer. Buddy's Pizza is a traditional parlor with excellent pizza.
