At Country Charm Bed & Breakfast, you are minutes away from Lexington (Rupp Arena, Keeneland), the Kentucky Horse Park, Paris ("Horses, History, Hospitality"), and beautiful horse farms. Within an hour or two, you can be hiking Red River Gorge, shopping in Louisville, enjoying major league excitement in Cincinnati, taking in the arts and crafts of Berea, tapping to Renfro Valley's country music shows, and reliving Kentucky history in Frankfort, Danville, Harrodsburg, or Fort Boonesborough. Country Charm rests on laid-back acreage where the peace and quiet are only occasionally interrupted by a tractor hum, birdsong, a cooling breeze, or duffer enthusiasm at Shady Brook Golf Course across the road. Relax on our patio or porch, shoot some hoops at the ol' basketball court, take a meandering walk on 65 acres of farmland, or watch CNN, ESPN, or USA on our big-screen television.

Accommodations include a large bedroom with queen-size bed, television and VCR player, a sitting area, and private bath or a two-bedroom suite. Guest bedrooms are located upstairs. Enjoy snacks and dine on a continental breakfast in our spacious dining room. There is Internet access in our office area.

We also have a cottage, which includes up to three bedrooms (king, full, and one twin bed), two baths, a full kitchen, dining area, satellite tv area, and exercise room. A love seat in the tv area folds out to make a bed for one. The full breakfast is served in the Francis Hall House, just 75 feet from the cottage.

Rates/Policies

  • $85 (plus tax) per night for one bedroom in either the house or cottage.
  • $135 (plus tax) per night for the house suite of 2-3 bedrooms in the cottage.
  • $10 extra per person for more than a party of six in either the house or cottage.
  • One night's deposit will guarantee reservations.
  • Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are accepted.
  • Cancellations must be given seven days in advance of arrival for full refund.
  • Children are welcome; let us know when making reservations.
  • Smoking is allowed outside the house.
  • Sorry, we have no accommodations for pets.
  • We now offer high-speed wireless Internet.
  • We've added a private lounge area, called Eden Nook, for romantic sunning and hot tub relaxation.

Area activities:

Ask about a golf package with Shady Brook Golf Course.
Tours are available to world-famous Claiborne Farm.
We will supply you with tourist information. Tell us your interests.
