The Innkeeping Workshops are instructed by Professional Innkeepers with over twenty-five years of hospitality experience including; Family Resort Ownership, Bed & Breakfast Ownership, Managing Innkeeper, Bed & Breakfast Consultant, and several years of operating their own successful Interim Innkeeping business.
In addressing your questions, instructors will share their path to success and guide you through the learning process of professionally operating a Bed & Breakfast including:
FRONT OFFICE PROCEDURES: reservations, telephone technique, guest management computer systems, credit card processing, confirmation letters, cancellations, check-in and check-out.
FOOD SERVICE: breakfast preparation and service, garnishing and presentation, meal planning, and handling special diets.
HOUSEKEEPING: supervising housekeeping staff, guest room check-lists, general housekeeping tips, and typical laundry procedures.
GUEST SERVICES: Welcoming Guests, concierge service, afternoon/evening beverage & dessert options, turn-down service, and general pampering of guests.
BUSINESS ISSUES: creating your professional image, developing business materials, marketing & promotion, independent contractor status, contracts & agreements, establishing your rates, bonding and insurance.
Besides the “nuts & bolts” of the daily operations, ongoing guidance and mentoring is available even after you have left the classroom.
Workshop Fee - $400 per person ($700 per couple) which includes:
